Our names are Kennedy Coverdale and Liza Cohen. We are here to take you into the lives of a calculus student to learn all about the different methods to solve for a derivative and how they are so relevant to the world around us.

 

During the first half of the year in Calculus, students have been learning all about the meaning and purpose of derivatives. Students have not only discovered the definition of a derivative, but they have practiced the different ways to solve for it; with variations of methods and processes. To reflect on how much these Calculus students have learned about derivatives, the students have paired up with a partner to design a website that sums up all of their knowledge of the past units they have learned. In their websites, you will see the different variations of how to solve for a derivative and how these methods are used in real world problems. Viewers of the website will be able to see step-by-step processes to solve for derivatives and show its significance on the real world.
